The tomb, identified in 1959 during the construction of the Panoramic Road and documented by Domenico Ryolo, is now visible at the beginning of Via A. Moro, near the retaining wall of the Cappuccini climb. It has a rectangular plan with vaulted roof and is a rare testimony of the Byzantine era, which finds better parallels in the area of Syracuse.
